Discover the ancient cities of Sri Lanka, lost palaces and temples of a thousand-year history and extremely adorable wildlife. Get to know traditions of friendly Ceylonese. Like a bird that overcomes the gravitation, the plane is gracefully descending in Male. Look out the window and enjoy an idyllic view: sunlit islands in the Indian Ocean, pristine white sands and turquoise lagoons. Welcome to Maldives!

Day 1: Colombo ~ Negombo ~ SigiriyaI (Arrival)
On arrival our representative meets you at the airport and accompanies to your car. Your drive to Sigiriya. On the way you visit Negombo, the largely Roman Catholic by faith, the city is embellished with huge imposing churches. Negombo first flourished as a centre for cinnamon production in Sri Lanka, initiated by the Portuguese, and subsequently attended to by the Moors. We visit an the Old Dutch Fort, built in 1672 near the shore which offers a glimpse into the colonization history of Negombo. Later drive to Sigiriya. Located in the north-central part of Sri Lanka, Sigiriya preserves the architectural tradition of the country and is famous for its Sigiriya Palace Complex also called as the Lion's Rock of Sigiriya (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE), Gardens and Sanctuary. Sigiriya has spectacular importance in Sri Lanka. Sigiriya was basically established in 477AD as a fortress and palace. However, in the 16th and 17th centuries the place served as a monastic refuge. Depends upon a time of arrival you can visit the sightseeing of Sigiriya. Overnight stay in Sigiriya.

Day 2: Sigiriya ~ Polonnaruwa ~ Anuradhapura ~ SigiriyaI
After breakfast your driver takes you on an excursion tour to Polonnaruwa, the second ancient capital city with several well preserved ruins of the palace and monasteries which easily can make every visitor impressed. Polonnaruwa historical core area is divided into three complexes: Royal palace, Quadrangle, and crematory collage. Each complex has its own uniqueness and deserves time to visit. Later drive to Anuradhapura. The UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE city Anuradhapura was once a major centre of Sri Lankan civilization. Here you can see the fascinating ancient ruins include huge bell-shaped Stupas built of small sun-dried bricks, temples, sculptures, palaces, and ancient drinking-water reservoirs. Return to Sigiriya. Overnight stay in Sigiriya.

Day 3: Sigiriya ~ Dambulla ~ Nalanda Gedige ~ Matale ~ Kandy
After breakfast the journey takes you to Kandy. On the way you visit a cave complex dates back to 3rd and 2nd centuries BC in Dambulla. UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE. The cave complex is a conglomeration of five caves holding magnificent statues and elegant scriptures. Later you drive to Nalanda Gedige - the Abu Simbel of Sri Lanka, one of the most remarkable archaeological sites in Sri Lanka. Gedige is an image house - which exhibits a composite style of unique architecture of Sri Lanka. On the way to Kandy we stop at Matale where you visit a spice garden and a batik factory. In the evening on arrival in Kandy you check in at the hotel. If time permits, you can visit the view the Kandyan cultural performance. Overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 4: Kandy ~ Pinnawela ~ Kandy
After breakfast we visit an elephant Orphanage in Pinnawella. This orphanage was created to protect abandoned or orphaned elephants. Return to Kandy and we visit the most interesting sights of the city. Kandy was an important independent monarchy of Sri Lanka, located in the central and eastern portion of the island. It was founded in late 15th century and endured until the early 19th century. The kingdom was absorbed into the British Empire as a protectorate following the Kandyan Convention of 1815, and lost its autonomy following the Uva Rebellion of 1817. The most famous landmark of Kandy is its lake, in the centre of the city, where you take a pleasant walk. We visit the temple of the sacred tooth relic of Buddha and the Museum. Overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 5: Kandy ~ Peradeniya ~ Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast we proceed to Nuwara Eliya - the centre of hill country which is called also "Paradise of Nature". On the way you can visit the royal botanical gardens in Peradeniya which is well known for it’s large number and variety of ornamental, decorative and medicinal plants. More than 4000 species include indigenous and introduced plants. On the way to Nuwara Eliya you visit a tea plantation and see the manufacturing process of the world famous ‘’Ceylon tea ‘’. On arrival in Nuwara Eliya check in at the hotel. Nuwaraeliya is the heart of tea country located in the central highland at the altitude of 1980 m. The climate of this location is much cooler comparing with other parts of Sri Lanka about 10 C+ (don't forget to take jacket with you). From the point Shanthipura (the city view point) you can do beautiful panorama shoots. The free time to relax. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya ~ Ella ~ Buduruwagala ~ Kataragama ~ Yala
After breakfast your journey takes you to Yala. On the way you stop at Ella, Buduruwagala and the sacred city of Kataragama. In the evening on arrival in Yala you drive on a safari by jeep in Yala National Park. The Elephant is undoubtedly the best known attraction at Yala. Herds of spotted deer are seen all over the park, monkeys, the pinkish Rhesus and the Grey-faced Langur are to spot in the park. Wild buffalo, wild boar and a leopard sunning itself or drinking water at a water hole could be memorable experience and not so rare at the Yala Park. On arrival at the hotel, check in. Overnight stay in Yala.

Day 7: Yala ~ Weligama ~ Galle ~ Colombo
After breakfast your driver brings you to Colombo. On the way you pass Weligama Asian fishing town and visit Galle. Situated on the south-western tip of Sri Lanka, Galle is the capital city of Southern Province of Sri Lanka. Galle was once the main port on the island. Galle reached the height of its development in the 18th century, during the Dutch colonial period and is the best example of a fortified city built by Europeans in south and southeast Asia, showing the interaction between European architectural styles and south Asian traditions. The main attraction of Galle is the large Fortress (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE) built by European occupiers. You can take a short walk in the natural harbour, and visit the National Maritime Museum. You proceed to Colombo. A fascinating city of Colombo is a commercial capital of Sri Lanka, with ’’Pettah’’ bustling bazaar area, a cinnamon garden with a mixture of modern life, colonial buildings and ruins. The interesting sights to visit in Colombo are: harbour, the Colombo Fort, a Lionel Wendt Theatre or Nawaragahala the country’s first national theatre, Independence Square and the St. Paul’s Church Milagiriya is one of the oldest churches in Sri Lanka. You can visit the Buddhist temple in Kelaniya. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Colombo.

Day 8: Colombo ~ Male (Maldives)
After breakfast transfer to the airport to board the flight for Male. In Male Airport our representative meets you and accompanies to the speed boat to the Resort. On arrival at the hotel, check in and free time at your disposal. Overnight stay in Male.

Day 9: In Maldives
Free relax at the selected beach resort in Maldives on Half Board Basis.

Day 11: Maldives (Departure)
After breakfast according to your flight schedule check out from the hotel. Transfer by speed to the airport. We wish you a safe flight back home.
